Gemstone Descriptions and Accuracy
We make every effort to describe our gemstones accurately, including stated weights (in carats), dimensions (in millimeters), color, clarity, and shape. However, please be aware of the following:
- Color: Gemstone color as displayed on screen may vary depending on your monitor's calibration, brightness settings, and lighting conditions in photographs. The written color description accompanying each listing is our best representation of the stone's true color.
- Natural variation: Natural gemstones are products of nature and may contain inclusions, color zoning, or other characteristics that are inherent to the material and are not defects.
- Lab-created stones: Where a stone is described as synthetic, lab-created, or lab-grown, that designation is clearly stated in the listing. Lab-created stones share the same chemical and physical properties as their natural counterparts but are produced in a controlled environment.
- Weight and dimensions: Listed carat weights and millimeter dimensions are measured to the best of our ability and are accurate to the degree achievable with precision instruments. Minor measurement variance is normal.
- Origin: Where the origin of a gemstone is stated (e.g., a specific country or region of mining), that information is provided in good faith based on available sourcing documentation or supplier representation and is not independently verified by a third-party laboratory unless an accompanying certification explicitly states otherwise. Natural gemstone origin can be difficult to determine with certainty, and origin designations without laboratory verification are provided for informational purposes only.
Nothing in our listings constitutes an appraisal, gemological certification, or representation of investment value unless expressly sourced from an accompanying third-party gemological certification, in which case that certification governs. If you require a formal gemological report or appraisal, we recommend engaging a certified gemologist independently or contacting the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) at gia.edu.

Limitation of Liability
